About Training and Certification
Our upper level workshops are designated into two mutually-supporting tracks: Process Acupressure and Clinical Acupressure.
Process Acupressure is a therapeutic modality that integrates bodywork with emotional and spiritual processing to empower soul consciousness.
Clinical Acupressure specializes in the dynamic, multi-dimensional aspects of the human energy system and does not incorporate psychological or spiritual processing skills.
Curriculum Overview
The Process Acupressure (PA) and Clinical Acupressure (CA) coursework is designed to teach bodyworkers basic skills in the beginning classes that will serve him or her throughout the learning process.
Process Acupressure Overview
If bodyworkers are primarily interested in combining acupressure with processing skills, they can take the two-day course Introduction to Soul Lightening Acupressure. They will learn chakra tai chi, interface touch, and two basic protocols, and will be able to take PA1: Gateway to Soul, followed by Advanced PA1: Living in Soul and certain other electives that use the basic protocols. CA1: Basic Applications is an alternative prerequisite for PA 1:Gateway to Soul; and taking CA1 allows the student to choose which track they wish to follow: Process Acupressure or Clinical Acupressure. CA1 is also required for PA certification and is a prerequisite for the advanced PA classes: PA2, PA3, and PA4. So, if the student thinks they may be interested in learning advanced processing skills at some point in the future, starting with CA1 is a good choice. In order to take PA3, they also will need to take CA2:Meridians. The following listing shows two alternative tracks for the Process Acupressure curriculum.

This is as far as the student can go in this track without CA1.
Process Acupressure Track alternative
1. CA1: Basic Applications

3. Advanced PA1: Living in Soul, PA2: Body and Personality Parts, and Inner Child Healing in any order
4. PA3: The Hologram; Prerequistes are: PA2, and CA2: Meridians
8. PA4: Transpersonal Integration; Prerequisites are: Advanced PA1, and PA2
Clinical Acupressure Overview
If they are interested in a more clinical approach, and are not so interested in learning processing skills, they may choose to take Clinical Acupressure 1: Basic Applications as their first course. Following this course, they may continue with CA2: Meridians in the Clinical Acupressure Track and then take the CA Practica.

General Workshop Information
Our 4-day workshops are typically scheduled Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 5pm, with sufficient time for a lunch break each day. Light snacks and beverages will be available at each training. Please contact your local representative for more specific information. Note: Clinical Acupressure 2: Meridians is a 5-day class.
Registration Details
Pricing
The standard tuition for all 4-day classes is $650.
The tuition for a 5-day class (CA2) is $725.
Discounts
For any class NOT taught by Aminah Raheem there is a $100 discount for signup 60 days or more before the class.
For any class taught by Aminah Raheem there is a $50 discount for signup 60 days or more before the class.
Discounts are not available for SEVA classes, Introduction to Soul Lightening Acupressure, or Practicums. Prices are already reduced for these workshops.
Students with severe financial difficulties may be eligible for a payment plan. Contact our registrar for details.
Discounts are not available for classes taught at The Esalen Institute and at some residential classes.

Cancellation Policy
Acknowledging those who must make travel plans early, we are making every effort to avoid canceling or changing the dates of our workshops. The decision to hold the class is based upon a minimum enrollment. Please note that those classes with very low enrollment may be canceled five weeks prior to the class.
In order to serve you better, we highly encourage you to take advantage of our discounts for early registration. We also strongly recommend that you not purchase non-refundable airfare until the class is confirmed 4 weeks prior. If Soul Lightening cancels a workshop, you will receive a full refund of your workshop fee. Soul Lightening is not responsible for any other expenses, such as airfare, that you incur for canceled workshops.
Refund Policy
If, for any reason, Soul Lightening elects to cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund of the workshop fee.
If you elect to withdraw from a workshop more than 30 days prior to the first day of class, you will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee.
If you elect to withdraw from a workshop less than 30 days prior to the first day of class, your tuition will be refunded as follows:
- If your space in the workshop is filled by another student, you will receive a full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee.
- If your space in the workshop is not filled by another student, you will receive a 50% refund.
- If you are a "no-show" for the workshop, you will not receive a refund.
- Under exigent circumstances, Soul Lightening may elect to waive cancellation fees (i.e. sudden severe illness, death in the immediate family, etc.). The decision will be made on a case by case basis.
Continuing Education
